My experience with Apple Vision Pro

I’ve always been fascinated by the world of virtual reality, and much of that fascination stems from Ready Player One. The movie, based on Ernest Cline’s novel, paints a thrilling picture of a future where people escape into a limitless virtual universe called the OASIS. The idea of blending the digital and physical worlds has intrigued me for years, and when Apple announced the Vision Pro, I knew I had to experience it firsthand.

My first experience with Apple Vision Pro

From the moment I put on the Apple Vision Pro, I felt like I had stepped into the future (or OASIS 😉). Unlike traditional VR headsets, the Vision Pro isn’t just about immersion—it’s about seamlessly integrating digital content into everyday life. The ultra-high-resolution displays made everything feel crisp and lifelike, while the eye and hand tracking created an intuitive experience that felt almost second nature.

One of the standout features was spatial computing. Instead of being confined to a virtual space, the Vision Pro allowed me to place apps, videos, and tools in my actual environment. I could check emails, browse the web, and even watch a movie on what felt like having a massive floating screen—almost like a personal IMAX theater.

Another exciting aspect of my Vision Pro experience was exploring some of the incredible apps designed for it. The Gucci app was a standout, offering an immersive luxury shopping experience that felt like walking into a high-end boutique. The level of detail in the virtual showroom was astonishing, allowing me to view products up close and even try on accessories virtually.

The Cupra app was another impressive experience, especially for automotive enthusiasts. It provided a highly interactive way to explore Cupra’s latest car models, letting me examine every detail from different angles and even configure my ideal vehicle. The ability to step inside a virtual car and interact with its features made it feel like a futuristic showroom visit.

Finally, the Sky Guide app took stargazing to a whole new level. With the Vision Pro, I could simply look up at the night sky, and the app would overlay constellations, planets, and celestial events in real time. It was an awe-inspiring experience that made learning about space feel more engaging and immersive than ever before.

Interestingly, while many people have mentioned concerns about the weight of the device, I personally didn’t find it too heavy. However, I can understand why some users might feel differently, especially during longer sessions. I did notice that after about an hour of continuous use, I felt a bit dizzy. It wasn’t a major issue, but something to be mindful of when using the headset for extended periods.

One thing that truly stands out about the Vision Pro is the premium Apple quality. From the moment you hold the device, you can tell it’s meticulously designed, with high-end materials and a sleek, futuristic aesthetic. The build quality, the precision in every detail, and the seamless integration of hardware and software all reinforce that unmistakable Apple touch. It’s clear that Apple has put an immense amount of thought into making this device feel like a luxury product, and it certainly delivers on that expectation.

While the Vision Pro is undoubtedly a groundbreaking device, it’s still early days for this technology. The price tag makes it an investment rather than an impulse buy. But I truly believe this is the start of a new era in computing.

For anyone who, like me, was captivated by the possibilities in Ready Player One, the Apple Vision Pro brings us one step closer to that reality. It’s not just VR—it’s an entirely new way of interacting with the digital world, and I can’t wait to see how it evolves.
