The Art of Life

Our lives, whether we know it or not and whether we relish the news or bewail it, are works of art. To live our lives as the art of life demands, we must, just like the artists of any art, set ourselves challenges which are difficult to confront point-blank; we must choose targets that are well beyond our reach, and standards of excellence that vexingly seem to stay stubbornly far above our ability to match whatever we do or may be doing. We need to attempt the impossible. And we can only hope, with no support from a trustworthy favourable prognosis (let alone from certainty), that with a long and grinding effort we may sometime manage to match those standards and reach those targets and so rise to the challenge.

As AKSZ Team we create a presentation for Join Multimedia Challange organized by Siemens. For purpose of this project Michał Dziadkowiec created a custom 2min 3D intro. We even recorded a full CD Album!

My experience with Apple Vision Pro

Date: 2024-09-20 | Author: Marcel Spisak

I’ve always been fascinated by the world of virtual reality, and much of that fascination stems from Ready Player One. The movie, based on Ernest Cline’s novel, paints a thrilling picture of a future where people escape into a limitless virtual universe called the OASIS. The idea of blending the digital and physical worlds has intrigued me for years, and when Apple announced the Vision Pro, I knew I had to experience it firsthand.

My first experience with Apple Vision Pro

From the moment I put on the Apple Vision Pro, I felt like I had stepped into the future (or OASIS 😉). Unlike traditional VR headsets, the Vision Pro isn’t just about immersion—it’s about seamlessly integrating digital content into everyday life. The ultra-high-resolution displays made everything feel crisp and lifelike, while the eye and hand tracking created an intuitive experience that felt almost second nature.

One of the standout features was spatial computing. Instead of being confined to a virtual space, the Vision Pro allowed me to place apps, videos, and tools in my actual environment. I could check emails, browse the web, and even watch a movie on what felt like having a massive floating screen—almost like a personal IMAX theater.

Another exciting aspect of my Vision Pro experience was exploring some of the incredible apps designed for it. The Gucci app was a standout, offering an immersive luxury shopping experience that felt like walking into a high-end boutique. The level of detail in the virtual showroom was astonishing, allowing me to view products up close and even try on accessories virtually.

The Cupra app was another impressive experience, especially for automotive enthusiasts. It provided a highly interactive way to explore Cupra’s latest car models, letting me examine every detail from different angles and even configure my ideal vehicle. The ability to step inside a virtual car and interact with its features made it feel like a futuristic showroom visit.

Finally, the Sky Guide app took stargazing to a whole new level. With the Vision Pro, I could simply look up at the night sky, and the app would overlay constellations, planets, and celestial events in real time. It was an awe-inspiring experience that made learning about space feel more engaging and immersive than ever before.

Interestingly, while many people have mentioned concerns about the weight of the device, I personally didn’t find it too heavy. However, I can understand why some users might feel differently, especially during longer sessions. I did notice that after about an hour of continuous use, I felt a bit dizzy. It wasn’t a major issue, but something to be mindful of when using the headset for extended periods.

One thing that truly stands out about the Vision Pro is the premium Apple quality. From the moment you hold the device, you can tell it’s meticulously designed, with high-end materials and a sleek, futuristic aesthetic. The build quality, the precision in every detail, and the seamless integration of hardware and software all reinforce that unmistakable Apple touch. It’s clear that Apple has put an immense amount of thought into making this device feel like a luxury product, and it certainly delivers on that expectation.

While the Vision Pro is undoubtedly a groundbreaking device, it’s still early days for this technology. The price tag makes it an investment rather than an impulse buy. But I truly believe this is the start of a new era in computing.

For anyone who, like me, was captivated by the possibilities in Ready Player One, the Apple Vision Pro brings us one step closer to that reality. It’s not just VR—it’s an entirely new way of interacting with the digital world, and I can’t wait to see how it evolves.

Working remotely from Tenerife

Date: 2025-03-30 | Author: Marcel Spisak

In the ever-evolving world of remote work, the idea of swapping a home office for a stunning island destination has become more than just a dream. As a software developer at Artisans, I had the opportunity to work remotely from Tenerife for a week, and it was an experience that blended productivity with adventure in the best possible way.

Why Tenerife?

Tenerife, the largest of Spain’s Canary Islands, is a remote worker’s paradise. Since I can remember, every digital nomad I talked to or YouTube video I watched included Tenerife as one of the top destinations. With its year-round mild climate, breathtaking landscapes, and excellent infrastructure, it provides the perfect environment for work-life balance. The island offers everything from high-speed internet to co-working spaces and cozy cafés, making it an ideal location for digital nomads.

Productivity in Paradise

Before arriving, I planned my schedule carefully to align my work commitments with opportunities to explore. I set specific time slots to sit down and work. Mornings started with a fresh ocean breeze and coffee as I set up my workspace on a sunny terrace. Reliable Wi-Fi made it easy to stay connected with my team via video calls, while the change of scenery helped boost creativity and focus.

I chose to stay at a coworking hostel, which was a great opportunity to connect with other digital nomads and be surrounded by like-minded people. The vibrant community of remote workers in Tenerife made networking effortless and enjoyable.

Work-Life Balance at Its Best

One of the biggest advantages of working remotely from Tenerife was the ability to disconnect after work and immerse myself in the island’s natural beauty. After wrapping up my tasks for the day, I enjoyed surfing, afternoon walks along Duque Beach, and beautiful sunsets. It’s also packed with activities to make the most of your time outside of work. Whether you’re into hiking, water sports, or simply exploring, the island has something for everyone. You can surf the waves in Playa de las Américas, hike up Mount Teide, go whale watching, or even try paragliding for a breathtaking view of the coastline. If you prefer something more relaxed, there are countless scenic spots to unwind and enjoy the island’s beauty.

The local culture and cuisine were also highlights of my stay. From fresh seafood to traditional tapas, every meal was a delightful experience. And let’s not forget the welcoming locals, who made the experience even more enjoyable.

Key Takeaways from My Remote Work Experience

Planning is Crucial – Aligning work hours with leisure activities ensures a seamless experience and helps you save time while you’re in your destination.

Environment Matters – A fresh setting, an abundance of sunlight, ocean breeze, and a vibrant community can significantly enhance creativity and productivity.

Connectivity is Key – Reliable internet and co-working spaces make remote work seamless. Make sure you have a fast connection beforehand to avoid stressful situations.

Work-Life Balance is Attainable – Remote work can provide the flexibility to explore new destinations without compromising on productivity.

Conclusion

My week working remotely from Tenerife was an unforgettable experience that proved how effective and rewarding remote work can be. With the right mindset and setup, productivity and adventure can seamlessly go hand in hand.

At Artisans, we embrace the freedom that remote work offers, and this experience deepened my appreciation for the era we’re living in and the incredible opportunities remote work provides. If you’re considering a remote work getaway, Tenerife should definitely be on your list!

My experience working at Artisans

Date: 2025-03-31 | Author: Marcel Spisak

Seven months ago, I embarked on a journey with the Artisans, stepping into a world where talent, collaboration, and professionalism thrive beyond borders. It’s been an exciting ride—one filled with challenges, learning experiences, and above all, incredible people who made every day fulfilling. From casual chit-chat and engaging discussions about technical aspects to a shared passion for remote work and traveling.

Seven Months of Growth: A Farewell to an Incredible Team

From the start, I felt I had joined a place where everything was very well organized, and despite the large amount of information during onboarding, I quickly assimilated everything.

Working remotely comes with its own set of unique dynamics, but from the very first day, I felt part of something greater. Despite the distance, the culture here is one of true connection—where feedback is open, ideas flow freely, and support is never more than a message away. It’s a place where no time is wasted. It’s rare to find a workplace where autonomy is balanced so well with teamwork, where every contribution is valued, and where leadership genuinely cares about growth—not just of the company, but of the individuals within it.

During my time here, I’ve had the opportunity to build, experiment, and refine my craft. I also received valuable feedback and support that helped me grow both as an individual and as a developer. I’ve worked on exciting projects, tackled complex problems, and evolved both technically and professionally. More than that, I’ve shared laughs, enjoyed virtual breakfast chats, and formed bonds with teammates that I know will last far beyond my time here.

But life is a series of chapters, and sometimes, a new adventure calls. For me, that call is coming from Silicon Valley—a place I’ve always dreamed of exploring, a challenge I feel ready to take on. Leaving this company isn’t easy; it’s not just a workplace, but a community. I’m deeply grateful for everything I’ve learned and for everyone I’ve had the privilege of working with.

To my colleagues, mentors, and friends here—thank you. Thank you for the support, the knowledge, and the inspiration. Though I’m moving on, I’ll carry everything I’ve gained here into this next chapter, and I have no doubt our paths will cross again in this ever-connected tech world.

Farewell,
Marcel Spisak
